Fire Safety Systems

Fire Alarm System

Whilst all focus in fire protection is to prevent a fire, in case of one breaking out, automatic fire detection is crucial to help you react and contain a fire at the earliest sign with warning devices. All systems are at different grades depending on your situation and should be checked with your insurance provider to see what standard they may require, whilst also having a fire risk assessment completed. Fire categories: L = Life Protection, P = Property Protection, M = Manual Only, D = Domestic.

Each of these categories will have a numbered level next to it, which then determines the level of protection that is required. We maintain and install industry leading conventional, addressable and wireless fire systems suited to your requirements for all grades. No matter the budget you have, we can find a solution, design, install and maintain the systems you require.

Fire Aspiration System

Although a separate system, aspiration systems are a great company to a fire system and in some cases much more suited to detect fire in larger or hard to reach area. An aspiration system is a highly sensitive form of fire detection that can detect a fire at an early stage.

These systems take samples of the air constantly and then tests them for smoke particles. The design of these systems requires tubes to be run around an area which will have intake points, this is where air is brought in for sampling. In cases where maintenance would be extremely difficult these systems would be beneficial, as the area can be tested at a local test point installed in a maintainable area where test smoke can be injected into the chamber, making is much more accessible for servicing and preventive maintenance. We can design, install and service these systems.

Fire Extinguishers

Fire extinguishers normally consist of applying a chemical agent that will cool burning heat, remove oxygen, smother burning fuel/oil so it cannot continue to burn. Extinguishers are a great portable method to control a small fire by a trained individual.

We supply and service all types of fire extinguishers and can deliver training on how to use them. We can also put you in contact with some of our external partners for training larger groups requiring to be certified on using extinguishers.

AOV Systems

AOV stands for Automatic Opening Vent, these systems are to aid evacuations by opening the vent automatically on a fire activation or via a break glass. The purpose of this is to try and direct fumes and smoke through the top vent and preventing a large build up of smoke in an area.

Most commonly you will see AOV's in stairwells, domestic apartments, lobbies and corridors. This is to give enough clear vision and breathing capacity on escape routes where they may be a delayed exit or large amounts of people exiting.

We can install and maintain these systems.

EVCS

Emergency Voice Communication Systems (sometimes known as Disabled Refuge) are a monitored calling system. These systems can be permanently active or just active upon fire activations. The calling units are situated on each stairwell, each level.

The purpose of these systems is that during an evacuation, lifts are disabled from use and if the premises has people with a mobility disability they can call from the stairwells for assistance, this in turn will call the base station next to the fire panel and when the fire brigade are present

WC Toilet Alarms

Toilet alarms are a simple way to allow someone to signal for help or alert they are in distress. These are simple standalone solutions for toilets that consist of a pull cord, sounder beacon and a reset button at each toilet.

If you require a higher functional system we can install a WC panel system, this would work similar to a panic or fire alarm but without the need of mass sound across the building. For instance, the panel can be behind reception and it will signal the panel of which toilet in the building is in need of assistance.

Fire Risk Assessments

Fire risk assessments are crucial for any premises to have. It helps insurance prices, helps you understand your property risks and all details about your systems, allows you to manage compliance and also be used to have building works done. Pricing FRA's are based solely on the size of the building so is billed as time spent on site completing.

We offer FRA's for very reasonable prices and you will get an in-depth detailed assessment of your premises.

Monitored Response

All fire systems are available for 24/7 monitoring. We offer keyholder and/or fire brigade responses to your fire activations 24/7. We install and maintain all different monitoring grades and have chosen one of the best ARC (Alarm Receiving Company) to help you manage your account with ease. You will get full control and be able to logon to place on test, change key holders, check signals and also speak to real humans every time and not just have robot auto responses.
